As temperature decreases to -15 degrees during the winter, Snow Monkeys of Jigokudani needs a place to warm up before getting back to the woods. This hot spring located in the west of Japan is the best place in the surroundings to do it as the temperature of water is around 38 degrees.
Snow Monkeys are relaxed and peaceful, government warns not to take a bath because of hygiene and health reasons.
The combination of landscape, the hot spring and these special Japenese macaques makes the area an unique place in the world.
