Lake Retba, known as Lac Rose (Pink Lake), is located in the north of Senegal, 25 km from Dakar.
The lake has high levels of salt, which allows people to float like the Dead Sea.
The pink color is due to the Dunaliella salina algae that produces a red pigment, turning the water into pink.
In the western of Australia there is another beautiful salt pink lake, the Esperance lake.
